Gilles is a map co-authored by James 'Axeman' Scott and myself. Portraying the castle/home of the infamous Gilles de Raval de Rais this map is set in a dark, evil castle theme with decoration reminiscent of Quake3 settings. With lots of elements that set the mood for this map, it really breathes an ominous and creepy atmosphere.
James 'Axeman' Scott took care of most of the construction of the map itself, while I was more the creator of various ideas and elements that helped push the map to it's final state. Most of the nice touches, like the wooden ceilings that are half gone casting shadows down below have been thought up by me. In the end, the map looks quite good and plays rather nice.
