Taron is a map in a Nali Temple setting. Co-authored with BIOS, this map examplifies great gameplay combined with a very attractive and atmospheric look. BIOS took care of building the layout using suggestions from the UCMP team members to alter it everytime he came up with a new alpha. In total there must've been at least 15 alpha layout builds before we were happy with it. The first few builds actually had a very technological/futuristic theme, but with the second BETA I redid the theme, and it came out way better than expected.
Inspiration for this map came from some other maps, and from the atmosphere Nali Temples had in Unreal1. Maps that inspired the theme are DM-1on1-Echo by Joe Swinback, CTF-Naelir by Frank Bakker, and CTF-Aedes by Michael Rippon.

The end result is a cool looking map with some very infectious gameplay. BIOS and I are proud of this map.
